Tony Visconti's The Best of Bowie at Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool

American record producer, musician and singer Tony Visconti - the very same man who worked with the likes of the great David Bowie and Marc Bolan - performed with his band Holy Holy in Liverpool last night at the Philharmonic Hall, delivering a tribute to one of the most talented musicians to have ever lived.
The setlist was amazing and consisted of the more mainstream tunes by Bowie such as Starman (1972), as well as the more 'hidden' gems. Amongst these songs were anecdotes thrown about by lead singer Glen Gregory. The banter between the members of the band showed a really great relationship between all members and meant that the audience could laugh along as well as sing their hearts out to some of their favourite tunes!

The audience participation was minimal for about half of the setlist, however as soon as the more well-known songs began to be played, most people were dancing along in their seats - and some were standing.
The woman sitting beside me, particularly, was head banging so hard that I'm surprised her head didn't roll from her shoulders! But she had a good time... we all did... and it is thanks to Bowie, Visconti, and the fantastic musicians of Holy Holy who endeavour to put on the best show possible.
