Paul McCartney - 'Grandude's Green Submarine'

Paul McCartney's long-awaited sequel to his children's book, 'Hey Grandude!' is a fun and short adventure designed for children who have just learnt to read, or are in the middle of learning. The words are not too difficult, and certainly would not challenge most children above the age of seven or eight. The illustrations are bright and gorgeous, almost jumping off the page and appearing in front of you.
I am, however, slightly disappointed by the story, which I found to be less interesting than that of the first book in the series, which whilst meant for children, I enjoyed myself and hoped could be enjoyed by people of all ages - Grandude's Green Submarine, in comparison, I don't feel ever got to a point in the story where the plot reached its apex and had a place to come down from. This story needed more to it, or it needed to be adapted slightly in order to be as good as the first book.
Nevertheless, the story was enjoyable, but I would have liked to see more of a beginning, middle and end.
