Craig Brown - 'One, Two, Three Four: The Beatles In Time'

One, Two, Three, Four: The Beatles In Time is a brilliant book that I really enjoyed, despite the length of it. The copy which I had clocked in at just under 650 pages, and it took me months to read because of other commitments. Nevertheless, it is without a doubt one of the best books on The Beatles that I have ever read.
Brown has obviously put a ridiculously large amount of time into researching anecdotes of the Fab Four to include in this book. There were anecdotes in there that I had never heard before, and I thought that they I knew them all! The zeal which the author has for his subject is clear in the way that he writes; passionately, and interestingly.

The short chapters help to keep the reader interested; I find that I have a very short attention span for long chapters, so the fact that each chapter was rarely more than four or five pages helped me to stay focused and continue with the book. I can guarantee that there will be something in this book which even the most knowledgable Beatles fan did not know prior to reading it. It should be every Beatles fan's go-to guide for the band, though is not for the faint of heart because of its length.
