Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band Tribute at the Cavern Club

Saint Patrick's Day 2022 was the best I have ever been, and it is all because of Glory Days, the Bruce Springsteen tribute, and the show that they put on at the Cavern Club, Liverpool. The set was well put together, with every single song going down as a hit with the audience whether it was a single or not. The great thing about Springsteen is that some of his lesser-known hidden album songs are just as much a gem as the singles; they just weren't commercial enough to get the radio play.

With over 27 years of experience on the road, these guys really do know what they're doing. Their engagement with the audience was phenomenal; two of the musicians came out into the audience to play their instruments, and the encore - which consisted of two un-Springsteen numbers, Rockin' All Over The World (Creedence Clearwater Revival) and Twist And Shout (The Isley Brothers) - were perhaps the best received of the night.

Tom Brooksby, who could actually be the Boss himself, has incredible vocals. He looks like Bruce, he sounds like him... it is only when you actually speak to him off-stage that you realise he isn't. There is really no better tribute to Springsteen and the E-Street Band than Glory Days. The band have been playing the Cavern for about twenty years: "We had a great time, The Cavern is always a blast and our fans love coming to such a famous and prestigious venue," Brooksby continued, "[the band] have developed a great relationship with the venue and the local fans."

English radio broadcaster Liz Kershaw once got on stage and sung with the band at the Cavern, which was no doubt an awesome experience for both parties!
