'Absolute Bowie Band' @ Todd In The Hole Festival 2019

It was truly an honour to speak with John O'Neill of the 'Absolute Bowie Band' on Sunday 21st July at Todd In The Hole Festival 2019. He was kind, relaxed, and clearly in his element as we discussed Bowie, and the influence that he has had on John's life and his career as a musician.

I also got to watch him perform at the festival, along with the rest of the band, and I recorded a few songs. 'Heroes' can be viewed below.

The musicians on stage acting as the band; John O'Neill and Chris Buratti especially, were dazzling. Chris was Mick Ronson and plays the guitar and supporting vocals, and is very talented. The audience loved him almost as much as they did John, and I think that his future in music will be bright.

Their set brought the audience to life and soon everybody was up and dancing to songs which they had known for years, enjoying themselves as I imagine that they so rarely get a chance to do.

Well done to 'The Absolute Bowie Band' on an amazing set, thank you to John O'Neill for speaking with me, and I wish the band the best of luck in the future.
